CHAPTER 5  >  OVERVIEW
In physics, mechanics is the study of the storage and transport of momentum and of angular momentum. Momentum is the "quantity of translational motion," whereas angular momentum measures the quantity of spin of a rotating body.
Momentum and angular momentum are exchanged in collisions, in pushing and pulling, in friction, by fluid flow, and through the interaction of bodies and fields.
