The Activities section gives you access to materials that let you work on the physics and systems science aspects you are currently studying.

Here you find suggestions for case studies. Cases are relatively complex real-life applications that can serve to define the physics to be learned in this chapter.

  Case Studies
Applications requiring experimentation and modeling, supported by pictures or movies, data and model files (mostly related to dynamical processes). They are based on examples typically found in a lab or in nature.

  Investigations

Questions that arise in large-scale investigations, normally requiring graphical data analysis and modeling on paper. Extended analyses may be obtained by using data sets and models on the computer.
